Rewards kids work toward, without making every chore about money
A lightweight motivation layer for kids: adults define redeemable rewards, kids see what they are working toward, and approved redemptions can celebrate effort without making every chore about money.
What Rewards does
Not every chore should be a paycheck. This app reads chore completions from the hub and turns them into points kids can spend on rewards adults define: movie choice, extra game time, dessert pick, a parent-child outing.
Kids request a reward when they have the points; adults approve or reject. Approved redemptions are celebrated as recognition events in the hub.
How it works
- Reads chore completion events from the hub.
- Adults create redeemable rewards.
- Kids see their available points and request rewards.
- Adults approve or reject requests.

Works well with
If you want more depth
Rewards is one app in a household library, not a product built around this one job. Some apps do only this and go further. Seven chore and allowance apps for kids, by what each one is for sets them side by side, and says when one of them is the better choice.
Guides that use Rewards
- A chore system that does not require constant parent reminders — Kids see their own list, tap chores done, and watch the allowance land on its own. Parents check an overview weekly instead of asking every evening.

Rewards is one of the apps in the Chickadee Bandit library. Every household starts nearly empty and installs only what it uses; there is no per-app charge. Your data lives in your household's own private, encrypted database, with no ads and no data selling. Browse the Family apps or read the source on GitHub.
