Terms of Service

Chickadee Bandit ("the Service") is a private hub for households and small groups: shared apps, calendars, files, and messages for the people you choose to invite. These terms are an agreement between you and Chickadee Bandit ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Household administrators can invite members, manage guest access, and configure what members can see and do; admins are responsible for having permission to add the people they add.

Accounts for children must be created and managed by a parent or guardian who is an adult member of the household. Children may not create their own accounts, and we do not knowingly collect information from children except under a parent-managed household account.

Paid plans are billed through our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record. Current plans and prices are listed on our pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled; you can cancel any time from your billing settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Applicable taxes are handled at checkout by the payment provider.

If a subscription lapses, your household enters a read-only state and your data is retained for a grace period so you can renew or export it before deletion.

You own the content your household puts into the Service. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the Service — storing, encrypting, backing up, and displaying your content to the people your household has shared it with. We do not sell your data or use your household's content to train AI models or for advertising. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal data.

You can export your household's data at any time from settings, and you can delete your account, which permanently removes your data after a short grace period.

You agree not to:

• use the Service to store or share unlawful content, or to harass or harm others;
• probe, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other households' data;
• resell the Service or use it to operate a service for people outside your household, space, or invited guests;
• use automated means to place unreasonable load on the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

The Service lets you create share links and invite guests from outside your household. Anyone with a share link can access what the link exposes, subject to the options you set (passwords, expiry, limits). You are responsible for what you choose to share and with whom.

We work to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the Service entirely we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes we will notify you (for example by email or an in-app notice) before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
