How long the read-only window lasts depends on how you got there: 90 days after a paid subscription ends, and 14 days after a free trial that was never subscribed. We email you before either one closes, and subscribing at any point restores full access with everything exactly as you left it.

We'll send you a reminder before your trial expires. If you haven't subscribed, your hub switches to read-only mode on the day it ends — you can still see everything and export it, but no new data can be added. We hold it that way for 14 days, and email you again before it is removed; subscribing any time in that window picks up exactly where you left off.
After cancellation your data is held for 90 days in read-only mode. You can resubscribe any time during that window and pick up exactly where you left off. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted.
File storage covers uploads — photos, documents, scans, and other attachments. App data is the structured information your apps keep (lists, entries, messages, schedules). App data is far more compact, so even the 1 GB Family allowance holds years of everyday use.
A Space lets people from several households share apps together — a carpool, a chapter, a friend group. Your plan lets you sponsor a few. The people and app limits listed under each plan apply only inside each Space you sponsor, and count everyone who takes part regardless of which household they belong to (or whether they have one). Your own hub always includes every app, and joining someone else's Space is free.
Every paid plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits, and they pay for the two things that use hosted AI: building an app from a description on the Apps page, where each step the AI takes costs one credit and a new app is usually four to six steps, and higher-quality reading of a forwarded email or a scanned photo, one credit each, if an admin turns that on. Everything else, including the regular email and photo reading that runs on Cloudflare, costs nothing. Unused monthly credits carry over up to a cap. Need more? An admin can buy a pack on the billing page, 20 for $5 or 60 for $12, and purchased credits never expire. Credits are not available during the free trial.
