Chickadee Bandit starts as a private hub for the people in your home. You choose the apps you need, invite the right people, and decide what children, adults, guests, and admins can see or change. Everything else stays out of the way.
A family installs a shared calendar, chores, grocery list, meal planner, and home-maintenance log. With Premium, school notices and receipts can be forwarded to the Family Inbox instead of disappearing in one person's email. Kids see what applies to them; adults keep access to the things that should stay adult-only.
Co-parents keep separate private household hubs and join a Space for the information that truly needs to cross homes: the custody calendar, school details, expenses, packing lists, and handoff notes. Neither household gets access to the other's private data.
Adult siblings create a Space to coordinate a parent's appointments, medication schedule, visits, documents, and shared expenses. Each sibling joins with their own account while the care information lives in one purpose-built place.
A carpool can share rides and availability. A scout troop can use announcements, events, volunteer shifts, and documents. A neighborhood or HOA can add board minutes, maintenance requests, amenity reservations, and emergency information — without forcing every participant into one giant household.
A Space is a separate shared hub for people who need to coordinate across households. It has its own members, apps, permissions, and data. After joining, you use the switcher to move between your private household and the Spaces you belong to.
The separation is intentional: a Space cannot look inside a participant's home hub, and a home hub cannot quietly pull data back from a Space. People share something by putting it in the Space. Joining a Space sponsored by someone else is free.
Most homes do not need the same giant checklist of features. Chickadee Bandit is an app platform: install a small set of focused tools for your household or Space, arrange them the way you want, and remove the ones that do not earn their place. Apps can also work together through automations, so completing something in one app can update another.
That modular approach also lets the hub serve a couple, a family with children, roommates, a care team, or a community group without pretending they all run the same way.
The catalog is a starting point, not a locked door. Chickadee Bandit apps are web apps with a manifest that declares the data and capabilities they need. A household admin can install a custom or private app from its bundle URL, so a developer, local organization, or technically curious family can create a tool for a need we never anticipated.
The hub reviews the app's requested access, keeps its storage scoped, and asks an admin to approve meaningful permission changes on updates. You get room to invent without giving every app the keys to the whole household.
