A time capsule that stays sealed by the database
Seal family letters, predictions, and photos until a shared reveal date, then open everything together.
What Time Capsule does
Write to your family and set the date it opens: a year out, a graduation, an eighteenth birthday. Every member adds entries while the capsule is open. Then it seals.
Sealed means sealed. Entries are withheld on the server until the reveal date, not hidden behind a reminder.
How it works
- Letters, predictions, and photos from every member.
- A shared reveal date.
- Entries are sealed on the server until then.
- Adults create, close, reveal, and archive capsules.

Works well with
Guides that use Time Capsule
- The first year with a baby, when nobody in the house is sleeping — What is worth tracking in the newborn months, what is not, and how to keep a record of the year without adding a second job to a household running on no sleep.
- Small family traditions, and what makes one survive past the second year — Traditions do not die from being disliked. They die because they depended on one person remembering. What to make automatic so the small rituals keep happening.

Time Capsule is one of the apps in the Chickadee Bandit library. Every household starts nearly empty and installs only what it uses; there is no per-app charge. Your data lives in your household's own private, encrypted database, with no ads and no data selling. Browse the Family apps or read the source on GitHub.
