A family contract before the big decision
Parents create step-by-step acknowledgement contracts for kids — watch videos, agree to costs, make commitments — before a big decision like getting a pet or an instrument.
What Family Contract does
Before the puppy arrives, there is a conversation about who walks it at six in the morning. This app turns that conversation into a contract with steps the kid works through: watch this, understand this cost, commit to this.
Each step is acknowledged in order. When the contract is complete, everyone has agreed to the same thing, in writing, before the decision is made.
How it works
- Parents create step-by-step contracts.
- Steps can be videos to watch, costs to agree to, or commitments to make.
- Kids acknowledge each step in order.
- A record of what was agreed, for the first time the rule is tested.
Who it's for
Parents about to say yes to a pet, a phone, or an instrument.

Guides that use Family Contract
- Giving a teenager more freedom without losing the thread — Independence arrives in negotiated steps. How to write each step down once, so the same argument is not had every weekend and the record is not anyone's memory.
