Sign-up sheets with slots that cannot be overbooked
SignUpGenius-style slot sheets for potlucks, classroom helpers, carpool coverage, or shift backfills. Members claim, swap, and release capacity-limited slots without overbooking.
What Volunteer Sign-Up does
Create a sheet with slots and a capacity for each: three parents for the field trip, two for setup, one for cleanup. Members claim a slot, swap to another, or release it.
Capacity is enforced by the server in one atomic step, so a slot is never overbooked, even when two people tap at the same moment.
How it works
- Sheets with capacity-limited slots.
- Claim, swap, and release.
- Atomic capacity enforcement.
- Adults create sheets; members sign up.

Works well with
Guides that use Volunteer Sign-Up
- Organizing neighborhood mutual aid that is still running next year — Mutual aid groups do not usually fail from lack of goodwill. They fail on coordination. What to put in place so help is asked for, offered, and tracked.
- How to run a youth team's season without a group chat — A youth season as a system: one team list, the schedule on every family's calendar, RSVPs by a deadline, the roll, and no family sees another's number.
- Running a PTA or booster club year that the next board can pick up — A board in one shared space, parents signing up by link with no account, money tracked against goals, and minutes and elections that outlast the board.
- Sharing a lake house with your siblings without fighting over it — A co-owned house in one shared space: weeks claimed fairly, costs split and saved for, upkeep logged, and the contents and warranties on record.
