Every check-up the household owes, and when it is due
The recurring health cadence for everyone in the household — annual physical, dentist every six months, eye exam, well-child visits, therapy — with an emailed nudge when it is time to book and a visit history per person.
What Appointments & Check-ups does
Most of household health is not an emergency, it is a cadence: a physical once a year, a dentist every six months, an eye exam every two. Nothing reminds you, so it slips, and you notice eighteen months later. This keeps the cadence for every person under the roof in one list, sorted by what is due next.
Two dates are kept apart on purpose. The due date is what the cadence says, and it is what triggers the emailed nudge — sent ahead of time, because the thing you actually have to do is call and book. The booked slot is a separate date, and it belongs on the calendar rather than in another email.
Logging a visit rolls the next due date forward from the day you were actually seen, clears the booking, and resets the reminder. The cadence stays honest without anyone maintaining it.
How it works
- A recurring interval per appointment, per person: annual, six-monthly, whatever the provider says.
- An emailed 'time to book' nudge ahead of the due date, with the lead time you choose.
- Provider name, phone, and link kept with the appointment.
- A visit history per person, with outcome notes.
- Logging a visit rolls the next due date forward automatically.
- Adults manage appointments; the household reads them. Any single appointment can be made private to the adult who created it.
- Who is emailed is a separate setting from who can see the row, so a teenager's therapy appointment can be household-visible but nudge only them.
Who it's for
Households keeping track of check-ups for more than one person, especially with kids or aging parents in the mix.

Works well with
Guides that use Appointments & Check-ups
- The first year with a baby, when nobody in the house is sleeping — What is worth tracking in the newborn months, what is not, and how to keep a record of the year without adding a second job to a household running on no sleep.
- Setting the household up for a school year that does not unravel — The week before term is the cheapest week of the year. What to set up then so timetables, homework, lifts, and check-ups stop needing weekly decisions.
