Who has the generator, who is CPR-certified, who is OK
Community emergency preparedness: a skills-and-equipment registry (who has a generator, a chainsaw, medical training), a phone tree of block captains, and a storm-mode "are you OK?" check-in broadcast.
What Neighborhood Ready does
The neighborhood that already knows who has a chainsaw and who has medical training fares better when the storm hits. Each neighbor lists what they can offer; adults maintain the phone tree of block captains and what area each covers.
In storm mode, a coordinator broadcasts an 'are you OK?' push. Neighbors tap We're OK, No power, or Need help, and coordinators see the full board of who is accounted for.
How it works
- Skills and equipment registry, self-maintained.
- Phone tree with roles and coverage areas.
- Storm-mode check-in broadcast with one-tap responses.
- Broadcasts restricted to an admin-designated coordinator group, enforced on the server.
Who it's for
HOAs and neighborhood associations in storm, fire, or flood country.

Works well with
Guides that use Neighborhood Ready
- Organizing neighborhood mutual aid that is still running next year — Mutual aid groups do not usually fail from lack of goodwill. They fail on coordination. What to put in place so help is asked for, offered, and tracked.
