Chickadee Bandit

Five Baby Tracker alternatives, by how each one shares the log

Where to go from Nighp's Baby Tracker: Huckleberry or Glow for predictions, ParentLove or Baby Connect for caregiver logins, or a nanny log with shifts.

Compare › Baby Tracker app alternatives

Quick answer

Huckleberry for sleep predictions and sleep plans. Glow Baby for AI forecasts with caregivers invited one by one, on its Family Plan. ParentLove for free caregiver logins with view-only or edit access per child and feature. Baby Connect for a deeper tracker every caregiver shares, with growth percentiles, charts and Alexa. Chickadee Bandit for a nanny with their own time-limited login and a shift log.

Nighp's Baby Tracker is the most-rated baby tracker on the App Store, and its free version logs nearly everything a parent needs. People leave it for the ads, for predictions that go further than its What's Next cues, or because a sync group shares the log by sharing one email and password, which is fine for two parents and awkward for a nanny.

This list is ordered from the apps that keep a parent's tracking to the ones built around caregivers. We make the last entry and it is marked; every claim about another product is restated from our baby tracker round-up.

The list

  1. Best for: Sleep predictions and sleep plans, with one login the household shares

The step up for sleep. Its free app logs what Baby Tracker does, plus reminders; Plus adds SweetSpot nap and bedtime predictions and a schedule creator, and Premium adds personalized sleep plans and an AI chat. It shares the same way Baby Tracker does, by signing in to the same account, so it does not fix a nanny problem, and it costs more than Baby Tracker Plus.

Cost: Free; Plus $11.99/mo or $68.99/yr; Premium $14.99/mo or $119.99/yr. Fourteen-day Premium trial with no card.

  2. Glow Baby

Best for: AI forecasts and charts, for a family that will pay for the Family Plan

AI forecasts of the next nap and feed, pattern charts, weekly reports and PDF and CSV export on Premium. Unlike a sync group, each caregiver is invited by email and can be disconnected, but only on the Premium Family Plan. Like Baby Tracker, the free app shows ads. The iPhone app's last update was November 2025.

Cost: Free with ads. Premium $69.99/yr, $39.99 a quarter or $99.99 for life; Family Plan $89.99/yr. Prices from its help centre; its website and App Store listing quote lower ones.

  3. ParentLove

Best for: Free caregiver sharing with view or edit access per child, and a one-time price

The fix for a shared sync-group password, for nothing: unlimited caregivers, each with their own login, invited by a link that sets view or edit access per child and per feature. It tracks about as much as Baby Tracker, with a milk-stash inventory, and charges once rather than monthly for trends past seven days, health charts, a pediatrician PDF and CSV export. The free app shows ads. No watch app.

Cost: Free with ads, unlimited caregivers included. Pro $24.99 or ProFamily $39.99, paid once; single add-ons $9.99 to $11.99 each.

  4. Best for: A nanny or daycare, with messages between caregivers and a web app

Every caregiver on one subscription, each with their own account, with messages between caregivers, a web app, an Apple Watch app, and Siri and Alexa. It exports CSV or HTML reports for a pediatrician. No free tier: after a seven-day trial the log is read-only without a subscription.

Cost: Not published on its site. Its App Store listing shows a Family plan, up to 5 children, at $29.99 for six months or $49.99 a year, plus a $6.99 option whose period it does not state; Professional, up to 15 children, $14.99. Seven-day trial.

  5. Chickadee Bandit

    That's us

Best for: A nanny with their own login that ends on a date you set, and a shift log beside the baby log

Not a Baby Tracker replacement for tracking: no growth charts, no predictions, no feed reminders, no PDF report, no widgets and no watch app, and entries expire after two years. What we change is the shared password. The nanny is a household guest with their own login, access for up to a year that ends by itself or when you press End now, and sight only of the apps you grant. They log under their own name, start a shift when they arrive and leave a handoff note when they go, and the Shifts tab totals the week's hours. No ads, and one household price covers the nanny and every other app in the library.

Cost: $6/mo or $60/yr for the whole household, up to 10 members, with every app in the library. A nanny joins as a guest at no extra cost. 30-day trial, no card, no ads.

Prices and features are restated from our head-to-head comparison pages and reflect each product's published pricing as of October 2026. Products change — always check the other product's site for current details.

Choosing between them

  1. If sleep is the problem, Huckleberry's predictions and sleep plans.
  2. If you want AI forecasts and each caregiver invited separately, Glow Baby's Family Plan.
  3. If you want caregiver logins for free, with view-only or edit access set per child and per feature, ParentLove.
  4. If you want a deeper tracker that every caregiver shares — growth percentiles, vaccines, charts, and Alexa — Baby Connect.
  5. If the nanny should have their own login that ends on its own, a shift log with weekly hours and a thread with you, on one household price, ours.

What you give up by leaving

Baby Tracker's free tier is hard to beat on breadth, and its What's Next cues are made on your phone rather than on a server. None of these imports its history. Export your records as a PDF from Baby Tracker before you move, and keep its iCloud or Dropbox backup.

The feature list is not fixed

Every other product on this page is a fixed set of features: it does what it does, and a need it did not anticipate gets a no. Chickadee Bandit is built from small apps, and a household can add one of its own. An admin describes the app in a paragraph on the Apps page and the hub builds and installs it, using the AI credits that come with every plan; someone who writes code can start from any of the open-source apps and install their own version from a URL. A custom app gets the same checks as the ones we ship: it declares what it reads and writes, keeps its data in your household's own database, and the hub refuses anything it did not ask for.

Where this list comes from

We make one of the products on it, and it is marked. Every claim about another product is restated from the head-to-head page that links from its name, where it was checked against that product's own site on the date shown there — nothing on this page was researched separately. The order is how close a like-for-like replacement each one is for someone leaving Baby Tracker, not a ranking of merit.
