One place for the paperwork that follows a child between homes
One place for the paperwork and the details that follow a child between homes — custody agreements, insurance cards, consent forms, plus sizes, allergies, doctor and school contacts. Records with an expiry date surface before they lapse.
What Family Records does
The pediatrician's number, the insurance card, the shoe size, the signed consent form: the details a child carries between two homes are scattered across two phones. This app keeps them in one vault both parents can read and write.
Records can carry an expiry date. Anything lapsing within 45 days floats to the top, and the three soonest appear on the hub's home screen.
How it works
- A document vault plus a per-child info card.
- Sizes, allergies, doctors, school contacts.
- Expiry dates with a 45-day warning.
- Adults only: children in either home see none of it.
- Built for co-parenting spaces as much as single households.
Who it's for
Co-parents, and any household that has lost the immunization record twice. Adults only.

Guides that use Family Records
- What information should co-parents share, and what should remain private? — A practical line between two homes: share the custody schedule, kids' expenses, records, and handoff notes. Keep each home's calendar and finances private.
- Seven questions to ask any family app before you put your household in it — Seven questions for judging a family organizer's privacy: who pays, where data sits, what apps read, what kids see, can you leave. Then a ten-minute setup.
- 2-2-3, 2-2-5-5, alternating weeks: the custody schedules, explained — What 2-2-3, 2-2-5-5, 3-4-4-3, alternating weeks and every other weekend actually mean, what each costs in hand-overs, and which suits which age.
- Splitting the kids' expenses between two households without fighting — Agree the categories and the percentages once, log costs with receipts, settle on a schedule, and keep each parent's own finances out of it.
- Making your household survivable if something happens to you — The practical handover: what another adult would need to run your house, where to keep it, and how someone would find out they need it in the first place.

Family Records is one of the apps in the Chickadee Bandit library. Every household starts nearly empty and installs only what it uses; there is no per-app charge. Your data lives in your household's own private, encrypted database, with no ads and no data selling. Browse the Family apps or read the source on GitHub.
